According to Jack Welch, before you even think about assessing someone for a job, they should demonstrate 3 vital qualities:
- Integrity
Does he/she seem stable and honest? Do they openly admit their mistakes? Do they speak about their lives with both candor and discretion?
- Intelligence
Intellectual curiosity is the strongest sign of a sharp, active mind. Formal education should be only the beginning—you need a candidate ready to learn from experience. - Maturity
Mature people are confident but not arrogant and have a sense of humor, especially about themselves! Look for equal measures of joy and humility.
Before you proceed in the interview process, ask yourself: does your candidate have all 3 of these qualities?
