Healthcare Recruitment on the Other Side of COVID

Over these last few months, we have talked a lot about how we should be shifting our healthcare recruitment methods to best fit the current needs created by this pandemic. But what will healthcare recruitment look like on the other side of COVID-19? We asked Karen Rieger, FASPR, Physician and APP Recruitment professional at Indiana University Health this question and here’s what she said:

“We in healthcare recruitment will return to the processes and sourcing strategies which have historically proven productive. We will take full advantage, as well – when and where useful/appropriate – of the additional strategies we have crafted out of necessity during the COVID-19 outbreak in order to meet continued recruitment demand. One example of this would be continuing to utilize virtual interviewing, in lieu of in-person visits, of our final-round candidates, as healthcare systems experience not only successful hiring by doing so, but the substantial cost savings those healthcare systems realize by doing so as well.”
