- Recruit – contact connectors, regional schools, past applies, local people, etc.

- Phone interview – Tell Your Story Well. Ask them what was most appealing about the description. Do they ask you lots of good questions? Are they excited about the job?

- Face to Face Interview with Other People On Your Team/Tandem or Panel Interview – 9 questions ready and an itinerary ready for the candidate and all interviewers.

- Do something social or outside of a normal interview environment – get to know who they really are…you will discover all kinds of red flags and this can save you lots of money.

- Personality Assessment – DISC is free.

- Reference checks – have them set up managerial references for you.

- Background checks / drug screen, etc.

- Have them do some work (or shadow) for a few hours – (they evaluate your group and you evaluate them).
- Make an Offer. Make your best offer 1st and put it in writing.
