How to Create a Top Notch Courting and Hiring Process

Looking to hire only ‘A Players’? These steps need to be consistently completed during each hiring process.  

 

    • Offer a referral bonus to someone who finds you the person you hire – Not $300 but maybe $3,000.00. This often makes them actively go and recruit for you.

 

    • Recruit – contact connectors, regional schools, past applies, local people, etc.

 

    • Phone interview – Tell Your Story Well. Ask them what was most appealing about the description.  Do they ask you lots of good questions?  Are they excited about the job?

 

    • Face to Face Interview with Other People On Your Team/Tandem or Panel Interview – 9 questions ready and an itinerary ready for the candidate and all interviewers.

 

    • Do something social or outside of a normal interview environment – get to know who they really are…you will discover all kinds of red flags and this can save you lots of money.

 

    • Personality Assessment – DISC is free.

 

    • Reference checks – have them set up managerial references for you.

 

      • Background checks / drug screen, etc.

 

  • Have them do some work (or shadow) for a few hours – (they evaluate your group and you evaluate them).

 

  • Make an Offer. Make your best offer 1st and put it in writing.
