What does COVID 19 mean for recruiting and what can you do?  

 

  • Use video interviewing: Zoom, Skype, FaceTime and Vidyard to keep interview process going. Try not to hit ‘pause’ on all your recruiting.
  •  If you can make an offer without bringing them on site, perhaps put in a 90-120 day probationary period since you didn’t meet face to face.
  • Capitalize on the opportunity to get more candidates on the phonesince some aren’t working (and may be at home)- you can talk to people you may not have been able to normally speak with and build up a pipeline.
  • If you recruit in multiple areas…work your rural searches harder than your big city searches.  We are seeing that rural healthcare has not been as affected by the virus – in terms of recruiting.
