Culture is all about shared values. If leadership and their team members share the same values, the company will win in the short term and long term. Companies with a strong set of values perform better over the long term. However, leadership must reinforce their values consistently.
There are many teams that pop out of nowhere and excel because they get talented people and the timing just clicks. But those teams will fail over time if the organization doesn’t have consistent, reinforced, strong values. They can win for the short term, but not the long term, because the team isn’t based on strong shared values.
